Privacy Policy
PhantomShip is a free browser game in which you sail a ghost ship through towering iceberg formations in Arctic waters. This policy explains what we observe when you take the helm.
1. Information We Collect
Like a phantom in the night, we leave almost no mark. We may receive:
- Standard browser request headers transmitted automatically — your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and referring URL.
- Your personal best berg count, logged solely in your browser's local storage and never transmitted to any external system.
- Completely anonymous aggregate session tallies that cannot identify any individual captain.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use data only to keep the ship seaworthy, plug leaks (fix bugs), and understand broad navigation patterns. No advertising, no profiling, no data sales — ever.
3. Local Storage and Cookies
Your record voyage is stored in local browser storage only. Clear browser data and it slips beneath the waves — no server copy survives.
4. Third-Party Services
Fonts load from Google Fonts through a standard browser HTTP request. No other external services are involved in PhantomShip.
5. Children's Privacy
PhantomShip contains no violent content, no gambling mechanics, and no paid features. The ship simply stops when it contacts an iceberg. Suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
6. Data Retention
Any server logs are retained for a limited period and then permanently deleted. Local gameplay data stays on your device under your own browser settings.
7. Your Rights
Where applicable law grants them, you have rights to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold. Please reach us through our website's contact form.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical measures to protect data we handle. The internet cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this policy at any time; the date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continuing to sail after a revision constitutes acceptance.
